About Electric Zoo
Established in 2009 by Made Event, the internationally renowned Electric Zoo Festival is one of New York City’s largest music festivals and features the top names in electronic music, bringing a wide variety of acts from around the world and across the spectrum of electronic music’s various sub-genres. International editions of Electric Zoo have taken place in Mexico City, Tokyo and Shanghai, with Electric Zoo: São Paulo scheduled for April and further expansion underway. This year’s 9th annual New York edition, themed ‘The 6th Boro’ will take place on September 1-3 at Randall’s Island Park.
About The 6th Boro
This year’s theme—The 6th Boro—is both an homage to the greatest city in the world and a brand new neighborhood unto itself, one that imagines NYC like you’ve never even considered possible. It’s like the urban jungle of Manhattan wasn’t wild enough, so party animals from all over the world turned Randall’s Island into a utopian dance-tropolis where wild beasts and beautiful creatures roam free, and live out the fantasy of a world where electronic beats and positive energy reign supreme.
For three extraordinary days this Labor Day weekend, New York City’s five boroughs will make room for one more, but the only way to find it is to follow the call of the wild. There, you’ll discover a mind-boggling parade of sights, sounds, creatures, ideas, experiences, and emotions so stupendously epic that even the tallest buildings bow to the majesty of The 6th Boro, a whole neighborhood created just for you.
With all new stage designs, newfangled art installations that are larger than life, the finest food and drink the Big Apple has to offer, and a new surprise around every block, The 6th Boro is your chance to become a part of New York City forever. This Labor Day weekend, when we come together under the glittering night sky, with thousands of our best friends and the best DJs in the world providing the soundtrack, that’s the moment we’ll know… What we we’ve been searching for was right here all along, in The 6th Boro.
